of joining a health club & gym as a choice for healthier living, right?
However, if your health club& gym is not abiding by certain practices in
safety and sanitation, you may not be getting as healthy of a workout as you
think. If the equipment is not properly maintained or the personnel are not
adequately trained, you may run the risk of injury. And if the center is not
cleaned and sanitized regularly, you may be bringing home more than a buff body
in terms of germs and other substances. This is why it is always a good idea to
thoroughly check out health clubs & gyms before joining to ensure that you
will be getting the safest workouts possible.

Look for Proper Instruction

When you begin to scrutinize health clubs & gyms for
proper instruction and training on the equipment, there are two different
criteria to look for. First, members should be well educated on the rules of the
health club & gym, and properly trained on the equipment before they are
allowed to use it. This means an introductory class for all who join the fitness
center, and should also include a medical history that you provide to personnel
before working out so that they know that you are physically able to do so.
